Foul Play (Japanese:イカサマFoul Play) is a damage-dealingDark-typemove introduced inGeneration V.

It is:

Effect

Foul Play inflicts damage. It uses the target'sAttack stat to calculate damage instead of the user's.

The target's Attack stat stage-modifiers are applied (rather than the user's), but otherwise the user's Attack modifiers are used (includingheld item,Ability, andburn). For example, the user'sHuge Power or heldChoice Band will increase the stat used in calculation, whereas the target's will not.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Foul Play isUmbreon's first move. It is obtained by evolving intoUmbreon at level 4 and upgradingSwift into it instead ofMean Look. The user charges, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and decreasing their movement speed. If the charge hits an opposing Pokémon, this move can be used again. If this move is used again, the user deals damage to opposing Pokémon it hits, decreasing their movement speed, and shoving them. The second stage of this move deals increased damage based on the Attack of the opposing Pokémon hit in the first stage. The higher their Attack, the higher the damage. At level 10, the user's next basic attack after using this move becomes a boosted attack.
