(Japanese:四天王タッグバトルBig Four Tag Battle) is ananimated series-exclusive event that takes place atNaranja Academy. The event was featured inShowdown! The Paldea Elite Four andLiko vs. Rika! Towards the Battle's End. It is a friendly competition created byClavell and arranged byGeeta to determine the skills ofTrainers.

Competition

After completing theirbasic aptitude tests, students are paired with theGym Leader that they were assigned with and battle against one of theElite Four members. If a student's Pokémon is defeated, the battle is considered a loss in the Elite Four member's favor, but if the Elite Four member loses even a single Pokémon, the student wins. Gym Leaders are not allowed toTerastallize during this battle. If one Pokémon from either sides are unable to battle, the battle turns into a single battle.
