Dream Mist
Dream Mist (Japanese:ゆめのけむりDream Smoke) is an item introduced inPokémon Black and White. It has a strong association withMunna andMusharna.
In the games
Dream Mist is unable to be obtained by the player in Black and White, but it is an important part of the storyline. After obtaining theTrio Badge, the player is asked to fetch some Dream Mist from theDreamyard byFennel, a scientist. However,Team Plasma also wish to obtain Dream Mist, and must be defeated before the Dream Mist can be recovered. After they are scared off by a wild Musharna, Fennel is able to recover her Dream Mist.
Back at her laboratory, she will reward the player for their efforts with aC-Gear. Without having undertaken this quest, the player is unable to leaveStriaton City.
In animation


The Dream Mist appeared inDreams by the Yard Full!. TheMusharna living in theDreamyard sent it out in huge clouds afterTeam Rocket were scanning the area's energy. The Dream Mist drifted overStriaton City and put Pokémon to sleep. One of the victims wasIris's Axew, butFennel's Munna was able to heal him by inhaling the Dream Mist that covered Axew. Munna's floral pattern then turned pink as Munna expelled a puff of mist revealing Axew's dream of evolving into aHaxorus. In the end, Fennel and her Pokémon were able to stop the Dream Mist from putting all the Pokémon to sleep.
InArcheops in The Modern World!, Fennel andProfessor Juniper used Musharna's Dream Mist to restore aPlume Fossil into a livingArchen.

Black & White arc
Dream Mist was first mentioned byFennel inFussing and Fighting, where she calledProfessor Juniper to tell her about it. Dream Mist made its first actual appearance inListening to Pokémon, afterBlack was defeated byN inAccumula Town. After N left, Black toldWhite that hisMunna,Musha, captured some of N's dream, producing an image of it through his Dream Mist.
InBattle at the Dreamyard, Musha had gotten separated from Black after wandering off. Black met Fennel after being knocked out cold, and Fennel offered to help him find Musha in the event that she could examine it. Black agreed, and once they had successfully retrieved Musha from a fewTeam Plasma Grunts, Fennel was able to collect some of Musha's Dream Mist after he had eaten Black's dream.
