Effect
Dragon Guard reduces the damage taken fromDragon-type moves, including
buddy moves, by 30%. It does not reduce damage fromsync moves or

- Most sync pairs that have access to the Dragon Guard skill without the use of Lucky Cookies are formed withFairy-type Pokémon, which gives them a natural immunity to Dragon-type moves in thecore series games.
