Double Team (Japanese:ダブルチームDouble Team) is a pair ofPokémon Trainers that debuted in theGeneration IVgames and reappear inPokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. They are depicted as a pair of male and femaleAce Trainers.
They usePokémon of opposite genders and fight inDouble Battles.
The first Double Team appears onRoute 210, but most are found inVictory Road with powerful and well-trained Pokémon. Compared to other Double Battle teams, their AI is very skilled.
They are theGeneration IV version ofPokémon FireRed and LeafGreen'sCool Couple andGeneration VI andVII'sAce Duo.
