Dexter (Japanese:ビックVick) is a character inPokémon Diamond, Pearl, andPlatinum. He is theannouncer and one of thejudges of thePokémon Super Contests. His appearance is designed after theGentlemanTrainer class.

Dexter appears as themaster of ceremonies and one of thePokémon Super ContestJudges inHearthome City,Sinnoh inPokémon Diamond, Pearl, andPlatinum. He appears to be a kind man who genuinely enjoys his work, despite limited interaction with theplayer. His input appears to be somewhat more important in theActing Competition thanKeira's orJordan's, as raising his Voltage to maximum gains thePokémon'sCoordinator eight points instead of five. Also, he sits in the center of the three judges and has a heart under his name.

His appearance looks somewhat different in thegames to themanga. In the games, he appears as a somewhat tall man with a full head of white hair, wearing a bow-tie.

Dexter was first seen in theHearthome CityContest Hall whenPlatinum arrived and determinedly swore an oath to partake in the next day'sSuper Contest. AfterDiamond was given aPoffin Case and created various mixes of excellentPoffins for her that brought upPrinplup'sCoolness stat high, which impressed Dexter, she saw opposition in several jealous contestants whose intervention nearly had her backing out before Diamond brought her spirits up, after which she managed to win nevertheless, utilizing a combination ofBubble,Metal Claw,Ice Beam, andPeck.

A young Dexter was later seen in a picture with a youngerJohanna in Diamond's home. He was also seen with his fellow judges at theLost Tower after having been sent there because of the fight betweenDialga andPalkia that caused time and space to distort.

Dexter appeared inBeauty Contest: The Pokémon Super Contest!!, where he was seen judging theSuper Contest thatHareta andJun had entered. He was highly tolerant of their antics, which included being hit by aBrine andPeck combination byHareta's Piplup. However, whenJun's Staravia blew his hat off withWhirlwind, exposing his bald head, he lost his temper and disqualified both Jun and Hareta from the competition.
