Dendra is an energetic young woman and uses that energy while teaching. She always refers to the player as "new kid".
Informing bonds with her, she admits that while she is athletic, she is not good at cooking, especially making sandwiches. She improves her cooking by learning more from the player's feedback and practicing withSaguaro. Dendra reveals that she wants to make sandwiches forMiriam as gratitude, since the latter often patches up her injuries. Dendra looks up to Miriam because she is nice and skilled, and she wanted to learn a skill to help others the way Miriam does. She realizes that although she isn't skilled at making sandwiches, she decides to focus on being full of energy.
Dendra participates in theAcademy Ace Tournament, including the scripted first round. The player can also find her inAlfornada, assisting in her childhood friendTulip's Gym Test of ESP exercise, even after the player has already defeated the Gym. This is because Dendra lost a battle with Tulip due to her Fighting type Pokémon being a bad matchup against her Psychic Pokémon, with the stakes being that whoever lost had to do whatever the victor wanted. According to Tulip, Dendra praises the player's skills in the Gym Test.

Dendra first appeared inWelcome to Naranja Academy!. She was first seen atNaranja Academy, explaining the basics of theTera Training course toLiko,Roy, andDot.
InShowdown! The Paldea Elite Four andLiko vs. Rika! Towards the Battle's End, Dendra worked as areferee during theElite Four Tag Battle.
InThe Terapagos I Don't Know, alongside Clavell, Dendra explained the rules of the second part of Tera Training to the participating students.
InInfiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!, Dendra was in charge of being a referee for the Naranja Academy battle tournament taking place. She later informed Liko and Roy that they would be battling each other in the school tournament.
InTerastallization vs. Mega Evolution!, Dendra caughtUlt trying to eat the food at Naranja Academy and, thinking he was someone with bad intentions, chased him around the institution withNemona. After catching him, and meeting up with Liko, Roy and Dot, she discovered that he was a member of theRising Volt Tacklers as well, after which Dendra served as a referee for Roy's battle against Nemona.

Dendra debuted inSpeeding! Paldea's Prince of Speed!!. She was first seen taking part in the opening ceremony forUva Academy's Treasure Hunt. When a student namedViolet crashed the presentation, Dendra and two other teachers attempted to stop him. Violet agreed to accept punishment for his actions, but only if he was defeated in a race. Accepting this challenge, Dendra, Violet, and the two other teachers raced around the academy's courtyard. Despite being the only competitor on foot instead of riding a Pokémon, Dendra ended up winning the race when Violet got distracted byArven. Later, Dendra and the other teachers were called to an emergency meeting byClavell, who informed them of Violet's backstory and explained his behavior.
InPASV19, at the Uva Academy staff room, Dendra talked to Clavell aboutScarlet. Dendra revealed that despite Scarlet's school records claiming she had perfect attendance and a battle record comparable toNemona's, she had never actually seen Scarlet before the opening ceremony. Clavell suspected that Scarlet may have infiltrated the school for some reason.
Later,Penny encounteredSaguaro, Dendra, andMiriam at the entrance hall ofUva Academy. Dendra tried getting Saguaro to try her sandwich made entirely of meat products despite Miriam's protests that it would result in severe stomach issues. Saguaro secretly preferred sweets, so he tried to pass the sandwich off to Penny, only for Miriam to help her escape by sending her out the building.

Dendra was introduced as aSupporter card in thePokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the JapaneseTriplet Beat subset and the EnglishPaldea Evolved expansion, with artwork byyuu. Anultra rare version with artwork by the same artist, and aspecial illustration rare version of the card with artwork byGIDORA were released in the same sets. It allows players to put a card from their hand on the bottom of their deck. If they do, the player draws cards until they have 5 cards in their hand. Because this card's effect requires the player to put another card on the bottom of their deck, this card cannot be played if it is the last card in the player's hand.

- After Dendra recalls her Pokémon from battle, she pats the Poké Ball rather than simply nodding at it like many Trainers.
- Due to her role in Tulip's Gym Test, Dendra can be found standing in two places at once indefinitely:Alfornada and the Academy.
- All of the moves used by Dendra's Pokémon arephysical moves.
- This also applies to the Meditite she gives to the player as agift.
