Crimson Haze (Japanese:強化拡張パック クリムゾンヘイズEnhanced Expansion Pack: Crimson Haze) is the name given to the fifth Japanese subset released during thePokémon Trading Card Game's Scarlet & Violet Era. Designed for use inSealed format tournaments, this subset mainly features Pokémon and characters originally found in the land ofKitakami, with BloodmoonUrsaluna as the central Pokémon.
Enhanced Expansion Pack: Crimson Haze introduced Pokémon fromThe Teal Mask, the first of two downloadable content additions to thePokémon Scarlet and Violet video games. Many of the cards in this subset feature Pokémon and characters that can be found in the land ofKitakami. This set also continues to introduceACE SPEC cards to the format. Each booster pack of Crimson Haze contains five cards.
Crimson Haze is designed for use inSealed format tournaments, in which participants are provided with sealed TCG products and have to build and battle their decks using only cards pulled from those products, along with any other cards provided by the tournament staff. To this end, certain cards such asSwitch andPokémon Catcher see reprints in this subset.
Crimson Haze was released in Japanese on March 22, 2024, followed by localized releases in Traditional Chinese on April 3, 2024, in Thai on April 26, 2024, and in Korean on May 24, 2024.
The pack artwork for the Crimson Haze subset was illustrated byN-DESIGN Inc.[1] A version of the artwork without theDipplin andSinistcha is featured on one of the booster pack designs for the EnglishTwilight Masquerade expansion, which includes cards from this subset.
