  • Cress, Cilan, and Chili have the longest gap between their debut as anNPC and their release as a playable character of anyone based on acore series character inPokémon Masters EX at1303 days. They first appeared as NPCs in the eventCurious Tea Party on March 31, 2022, and they became playable on October 23, 2025.
  • All versions of Cress use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers includeCilan,Chili,Siebold, andArven.
    • Cress also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Cilan, Chili, or Arven in the same team.

Origin

Cress's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Simipour is Cress's signature Pokémon in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Simipour's Dex entry comes from Pokémon White.
