APokémon'scondition (Japanese:コンディションcondition) is made up of stats that exist for use inPokémon Contests,Super Contests,Contest Spectaculars, andSuper Contest Shows. There are five different condition stats:Coolness,Beauty,Cuteness,Cleverness, andToughness. They range from 0 to 255.

For each of these five conditions, there are individual contest categories where Pokémon are judged by how developed they are in the relevant stat. In order to improve a condition stat, Pokémon can be givenPokéblocks andPoffins made fromBerries. A Pokémon's condition cannot be decreased or reset, and is retained even when a Pokémon istraded ortransferred to a game where it has no effect.

Characteristics

A Pokémon with an enhanced condition stat will score higher when competing in a contest with the same title as that condition. A Pokémon's condition will be judged in the following rounds:

This can also be assisted with the use ofscarves. A Pokémon holding a scarf corresponding to the category of the contest entered will gain bonus points in the final score.

Moves

InGeneration III,IV, andVI, everymove that a Pokémon can learn is associated with one of the five conditions. Depending on the category of the contest, moves of a particular category will affect theaudience's excitement in Contests and Contest Spectaculars and theJudges' Voltage in Super Contests.

In Generation III, IV, and VIII, aPokémon'sNature determines its favorite flavor and its disliked flavor. This affects how much its condition will be increased when it is fed aPokéblock orPoffin with those flavors, in a similar fashion to its effect on battlestats.

IfFeebas'sBeauty condition is 170 points or more, it will evolve intoMilotic when it isleveled up. Prior to the introduction of thePrism Scale inGeneration V, this was the only way to evolve Feebas; however, even in games that include the Prism Scale, Feebas can evolve by level up if its Beauty condition is high enough.
