Works great if the user goes first this turn.

Clear Smog (Japanese:クリアスモッグClear Smog) is a damage-dealingPoison-typemove introduced inGeneration V.

Effect

Clear Smog inflicts damage and resets all stat levels of the target to 0; unlikeHaze, this move only hits one target, rather than affecting every Pokémon on the field. This effect does not work if the target is unaffected by the attack because of type immunity, protection, or is behind asubstitute. However, it does work against the boss of aMax Raid Battle even if it has a shield up.

Clear Smog bypassesaccuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in thesemi-invulnerable turn of a move such asDig orFly.

Holding aCovert Cloak does not prevent a target from having its stat changes eliminated.
