Clark

Clark (Japanese:ヒュウガHyūga) is acharacter of the day who appeared inShocks and Bonds. He is aPokémon Trainer who took part in theDouble Battle rounds of theEver Grande Conference.
Clark was known as "The Conductor", and he used a baton to literally "conduct" his Pokémon in battle. He facedAsh in the third and last of the Trainer's Double Battles. During this battle, Clark sent out hisQuilava andCharizard againstAsh's Grovyle andGlalie. It appeared that Ash had an overwhelming disadvantage, but he kept his cool. Clark made his Pokémon attack using their variousFire-type attacks, while Ash had his Pokémon use their best. Eventually,Grovyle defeated Quilava, but ended up getting knocked out by Charizard'sSteel Wing.
Using hisGlalie, Ash created several ice pillars, preventing Charizard from coming in and attacking directly with itsHeat Wave. It also used the pillars to bounce and evade Charizard's moves. Glalie usedHeadbutt to take the win, allowing Ash to move on to the next round, while Clark was eliminated from the tournament.
