FromGeneration V onward, if a Pokémon is already locked into a move due to held Choice Specs, if the held Choice Specs is removed while its effect is negated, the Pokémon will be affected by theChoice item lock glitch.
Generation VII
If a Pokémon holding Choice Specs uses a move other than the one it's locked into (such as throughInstruct orDancer), the move will fail and noPP will be deducted.
Generation VIII
Dynamax Pokémon are unaffected by Choice Specs (both the move-lock effect and the stat boost). If a Pokémon is locked into a move due to Choice Specs and then Dynamaxes, when the Dynamax ends, the Pokémon once again can only use the move it was already locked into.
InPokémon UNITE, the Choice Specs are a held item that increased damage to a single target every 8s. The damage increase is 40/50/60 + 30/35/40% of Sp. Attack, at grades 1, 10, and 20 respectively. This item also increases Sp. Attack: +10 at Grade 1 and +39 at Grade 30.
