  • Cheren'srival isHilbert, as Hilbert is based on thePokémon Black and Whiteplayer character.
  • An model of Cheren using his design from Pokémon Black and White exists in the game files, but goes unused.
  • Cheren & Stoutland were the last 5★sync pair to have theirsync grid expanded.

    • Cheren also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Hilbert, Hilda, Bianca, Nate, Rosa, Hugh, or Alder in the same team.

Origin

Cheren's design is based on his appearance inPokémon Black 2 and White 2. Stoutland is Cheren's signature Pokémon in Black 2 and White 2. Stoutland'sDex entry comes fromPokémon Ultra Moon.

Cheren uses a Purrloin on his team during his second and third battles against theplayer and a Liepard in all subsequent battles inPokémon Black and White. Purrloin's Dex entry comes from Pokémon White, and Liepard's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.

Cheren is not seen owning a Tornadus outside this game, but it was introduced inGeneration V like Cheren was. Tornadus's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
