Trivia
- Chase and Elaine are one of two pairs of protagonists where it is unknown which one is based on theplayer character from their games of origin, the other beingElio andSelene.
- During theLet's Go for Number One!time trial event, both Chase andElaine claim they helped the other one out in battles while inKanto. This may be a reference to the co-op feature fromPokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, which allows two players to battle Trainers together. This may also imply that one is based on the player character, while the other is based on the Support Trainer from the Let's Go! games.
- All versions of Chase use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers includeRed,Leaf,Blue, Elaine, andProfessor Oak.
