Calm Mind (Japanese:めいそうMeditation) is a non-damagingPsychic-typemove introduced inGeneration III.
It is:
- TM04 from Generation III toPokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and inPokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
- TM33 inPokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
- TR49 inPokémon Sword and Shield.
- TM129 inPokémon Scarlet and Violet.
- TM006 inPokémon Legends: Z-A.
Effect
Calm Mind raises the user'sSpecial Attack andSpecial Defense stats by one stage each.
Calm Mind can be used as the first move of aPokémon Contest combination, causingConfusion,Dream Eater,Future Sight,Light Screen,Luster Purge,Meditate,Mist Ball,Psybeam,Psychic,Psycho Boost,Psywave, andReflect to score double the normal appeal if used in the next turn. It can also be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, causingBaton Pass andStored Power to give user an extra three appeal points if they are used in the next turn.
If powered up byPsychium Z, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

Pokémon UNITE
In Pokémon UNITE, Calm Mind isSylveon's second move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and upgradingBaby-Doll Eyes into it instead ofDraining Kiss. The user quietly focuses their mind and calms their spirit, increasing movement speed, Sp. Attack by 40% and Sp. Defense by 10% for a short time. At level 12, up to 3s after using this move, if the user is hit by an enemy's move, the damage is completely nullified and the user is granted a shield.
