Gets the Pokémon pumped up. Helps prevent nervousness, too.

Autotomize (Japanese:ボディパージBody Purge) is a non-damagingSteel-typemove introduced inGeneration V.

Effect

Autotomize raises the user'sSpeed stat by two stages and (if the user successfully changes its Speed) decreases itsweight by 220 lbs. (100 kg). If the user successfully changes its weight, the message"<Pokémon> became nimble!" is displayed.

Autotomize cannot decrease the user's weight below the minimum 0.2 lbs (0.1 kg); if the user's weight would drop below the minimum, it becomes the minimum instead. Weight loss from Autotomize stacks, so using it multiple times will continue to decrease the user's weight accordingly until it reaches the minimum weight. Autotomize's weight reduction cannot be transferred byBaton Pass or removed byHaze. A Pokémon's weight is reset if it changesform (fromGeneration VI onward),switches out orfaints, or the battle ends.

Autotomize can also be used as part of aContest Spectacular combination and using it will causeBaton Pass andElectro Ball to give extra three appeal points if used in the next turn.

If powered up by aSteelium Z into Z-Autotomize, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

Generation IX

Autotomize cannot be selected in a battle.
