Argenta (Japanese:ケイトKate) is theFrontier Brain in charge of running theBattle Frontier'sBattle Hall. She is the only character in the games to have theTrainer classHall Matron (Japanese:ステージマドンナStage Madonna).
In the core series games
Argenta is theFrontier Brain of the Battle Hall in theSinnoh andJohto regions. She can be challenged after 50 consecutive battles, which is unique as all other Frontier Brains can be challenged after 21 consecutive battles. Once defeated, she will give away the silver commemorative print. Argenta can be challenged again after 170 consecutive battles, and will give away the gold commemorative print when defeated. The player must defeat all types at least 10 times before challenging her again and again.
Pokémon
When challenged for the Silver Print, Argenta will use a Pokémon that has abase stat total similar to the one used by the player. These Pokémon are the same as the Pokémon used by ordinary trainers in the Battle Hall.

- Random each time:Used if player's Pokémon has a Base Stat Total between 340 and 439
- Random each time:Used if player's Pokémon has a Base Stat Total between 440 and 499
- Random each time:Used if player's Pokémon has a Base Stat Total of 500 or higher

In the manga
Pokémon Adventures

Argenta first appears along with her fellowFrontier Brains,Palmer,Dahlia, andThorton in a meeting; afterward they go back to their facilities. Argenta, along with Palmer, is seen trying to investigate the communication system of theBattle Frontier going down. After Thorton is defeated byPlatinum, she slaps him out of the temper tantrum he was throwing.
Later, at theBattle Hall, Argenta faces Platinum in the final match. HerDragonite proved powerful but was eventually defeated byPlatinum's Froslass.
Pokémon
Rented
Argenta'sDragonite was used to battle Platinum at theBattle Hall. It proved powerful and was able to deal heavy damage toPlatinum's Froslass despite the type disadvantage. Eventually, it was defeated by a super effectiveIce Shard, making Platinum the winner of the match.
Dragonite's only known move isSteel Wing.
