Amnesia increases the user'sSpecial by two stages.

Generation II onwards

Amnesia now raises the user'sSpecial Defense by two stagesinstead.

Amnesia is a part ofContest Spectacular combination and using it will causeBaton Pass andStored Power to give an extra three appeal points if used in the next turn.

If powered up by aPsychium Z into Z-Amnesia, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

In Pokémon UNITE, Amnesia isSlowbro's second move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and upgradingSlack Off into it instead ofTelekinesis. The user becomes briefly unstoppable, gains increased defenses, restores a portion of their Oblivious health, and gains bonus damage on the next Surf or Scald used. At level 13, the move also increases the user's Special Attack.
