Biography:

I identify bees, wasps, and additional wildlife on BugGuide and primarily iNaturalist, and am also interested in green space habitats benefitting societies and wildlife such as parks and green roofs. My current entomology and taxonomy experience and training includes completing a related Biology M.S., contributing to New York State pollinator surveys, and previously leading one Thacher State Park bioblitz observation event and briefly volunteering in a museum insect collection. I view all notifications, although there will be delays at times. I give permission for the website admin to privately provide my email address if anyone wants to talk about my guides, identifications, taxonomy proposals, etc. (in the future the website will have a built-in inbox for messages).

Disclaimer: Dedicated naturalists volunteer their time and resources here to provide this service. We strive to provide accurate information, but we are mostly just amateurs attempting to make sense of a diverse natural world. If you need expert professional advice, contact yourlocal extension office.
