And so after a solid 12 years, Pangya Japan announced that they’reshutting down a day before the game’s 13th anniversary. I haven’t played Pangya in years but in the end, it was this game that started this blog and why the blog even has the domain “breadmasterlee”. It was originally a Google translation of a pangya item called “Pang Mastery” and somehow we made jokes about it which turned into the domain name. I will never forget you pangya, I’ve made friends on this game who I still talk to to this day after all these years (though we play FF14 now or talk about otome games.)

I think the only Pangya server that’s still running now is Pangya thailand and some random private servers here and there. Goodbye pangya, and thanks for all the bread master lee’s. 👋

The inevitable finally happened and Pangya NA has finally closed its doors. I guess the 5 people who were spending $800 per gacha every 2 weeks finally decided to call it quits (or went bankrupt) so they had no one else to fund their tin can servers. Honestly I haven’t logged in or played pangya in years but hey this blog did originally begin as a Pangya blog and even the domain “breadmasterlee” originated from the google translation of the word パンマステリー (pang mastery).

At this point as far as I know onlyPangya Japan andPangya Thailand are still running because they have an in house development team creating new content. Pangya Korea closed its doors in August of this year.

For those who have a smartphone, I stumbled upon aliteral Pangya clone with art by the Koichoco/Imaimo illustrator. A lot of reviewers say it’s a lot like Pangya so you can always get your fix there.

It was certainly a year to remember, or maybe forget.

For a while I’ve been falling out of pangya. I’ve tried to keep up with events but only a few kept my interest. I decided I would wait until Lucia’s birthday, since she is my main character before deciding whether to quit once more. When I found out you could get Lucia’s twin tails it was like a dream come true. OnPangya Korea, you could buy them for a few bucks and there was a choice of 6 styles and ribbons. I haven’t spent money on the game since January but I figured for the Lucia hair I’d throw in a few bucks. I was looking forward to it so much but then Gamerage decides to pull this b/s:
