Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Sabha is a social organization, working towards uplifting and development of Language, Literature, Education, Economic & Social status of the Bishnupriya Manipuri linguistic minority community, originating from north-east India. To incorporate modern methodological studies, supported by technological inputs to identify opportunities and scope for developmental activities for the benefit of the community. To spread awareness on various social issues and prescribe, mobilize and engage the community into sustainable progressive remedial actions.
Our actions are focused on the basic idea of protection of the ethnic identity of the community, and at the same time allow modern growth and development without stress to the ethnic linguistic & cultural fibre. We believe it is achievable with actions taken towards building self-sustaining models for (a) growth and development of the language through literary activities and awareness, and (b) the protection of the geo-political entity of the Bishnupriya Manipuri community by keeping them connected to their roots. This would require more and more community level activities directed towards the growth of their socio-economic, socio-cultural and political status at their ancestral habitats and thus revitalize the nourishing agents feeding the roots.

As I embark on this journey of social service after a fulfilling career in academia, I implore you to embrace the pursuit of knowledge with unwavering passion. Let the light of education guide you in shaping a future that thrives on compassion, empathy and a commitment to positive change.

Being aware of social causes empowers youth to contribute positively to their communities, fostering empathy, understanding, and a sense of responsibility for creating a better society. It cultivates informed and socially conscious individuals who can drive positive changes.
The first step towards spreading awareness within a community is the process of sharing experiences amongst community members. Ideally, in a progressive and dynamic society, questions asked and answers met must gain in relevance in a progressive manner as well. This quality is attainable only through a conscious effort towards value addition to the quality of our interaction. Sharing of real life rich and inspiring experiences is a powerful social mechanism that connects the members by creating a shared narrative. It helps promote better humane qualities, sense of unity and thus strengthening the fabric of the community.
Today, as I look back at my prolonged and eventful career into academics and research, as well as my journey through life as a litterateur, I have come to realize that fate has blessed me with an opportunity to test and shape the ideas I have mentioned above.
As I find myself today leading the responsibility of a prestigious social organization, I wholeheartedly extend my wish to connect and hold interactions with you and initiate the exercise of sharing of experiences. I believe, we, at both end only stand to gain immensely from this and shall enrich not only the quality of our life as an individual, but shall also better our social status as a community.
