Big Hero 6 is an American 3D computer-animated superhero-comedy film directed byDon Hall and Chris Williams, produced byWalt Disney Animation Studios and distributed byWalt Disney Pictures. The film is inspired by the Marvel comic book seriesBig Hero 6. The film was released on November 7, 2014 (in the US) and on January 30, 2015 (in the UK).
Set in a fictional metropolis calledSan Fransokyo (a portmanteau of San Francisco and Tokyo), a young robotics prodigy namedHiro Hamada and his robotBaymax uncover a criminal plot and pull together a team of inexperienced crime-fighters, includingGo Go Tomago,Wasabi,Honey Lemon andFred to solve the mystery surrounding the crime.
