- In the census ofNumbers 1, the LORD commands Moses to “take a census of the whole congregation” (Numbers 1:2). The tribe of Dan is counted with the rest, underscoring that every tribe matters in God’s covenant family (cf.Exodus 24:4;Revelation 7:5–8).
