1"You shall not beara falsereport;do not joinyour handwith a wickedmanto be a maliciouswitness.2"You shall not followthe massesin doing evil,norshall you testifyin a disputeso as to turnasideaftera multitudein order to pervert[justice];3norshall you be partialto a poormanin his dispute.
4"Ifyou meetyour enemy'soxorhis donkeywanderingaway,you shall surelyreturnit to him.5"Ifyou seethe donkeyof one who hatesyou lying[helpless] underits load,you shall refrainfrom leavingit to him, you shall surelyrelease[it] with him.
6"You shall not pervertthe justice[due] to your needy[brother] in his dispute.7"Keepfarfrom a falsecharge,and do not killthe innocentor the righteous,for I will not acquitthe guilty.
8"You shall not takea bribe,for a bribeblindsthe clear-sightedand subvertsthe causeof the just.
9"You shall not oppressa stranger,since you yourselvesknowthe feelingsof a stranger,for you [also] were strangersin the landof Egypt.
10"You shall sowyour landfor sixyearsand gatherin its yield,11but [on] the seventhyearyou shall letit restand liefallow,so that the needyof your peoplemay eat;and whatever they leavethe beastof the fieldmay eat.You are to dothe samewith your vineyard[and] your olivegrove.
12"Sixdaysyou are to doyour work,but on the seventhdayyou shall cease[from labor] sothat your oxand your donkeymay rest,and the sonof your femaleslave,as well as your stranger,may refreshthemselves.13"Now concerning everythingwhichI have saidto you, be on your guard;and do not mentionthe nameof othergods,norlet [them] be heardfrom your mouth.
14"Threetimesa yearyou shall celebratea feastto Me.15"You shall observethe Feastof UnleavenedBread;for sevendaysyou are to eatunleavenedbread,as I commandedyou, at the appointedtimein the monthAbib,for in it you cameout of Egypt.And noneshall appearbeforeMe empty-handed.16"Also [you shall observe] the Feastof the Harvest[of] the firstfruitsof your labors[from] whatyou sowin the field;also the Feastof the Ingatheringat the endof the yearwhen you gatherin [the fruit of] your laborsfrom the field.17"Threetimesa yearallyour malesshall appearbeforethe LordGOD.
18"You shall not offerthe bloodof My sacrificewith leavenedbread;noris the fatof My feastto remainovernightuntilmorning.
19"You shall bringthe choicefirstfruitsof your soilinto the houseof the LORDyour God."You are not to boila younggoatin the milkof its mother.
20"Behold,I am going to sendan angelbeforeyou to guardyou along the wayand to bringyou into the placewhichI have prepared.21"Be on your guardbeforehim and obeyhis voice;do not be rebellioustoward him, for he will not pardonyour transgression,sinceMy nameis in him.22"But ifyou trulyobeyhis voiceand doallthat I say,then I will be an enemyto your enemiesand an adversaryto your adversaries.23"For My angelwill gobeforeyou and bringyou in to [the land of] the Amorites,the Hittites,the Perizzites,the Canaanites,the Hivitesand the Jebusites;and I will completelydestroythem.24"You shall not worshiptheir gods,norservethem, nordoaccording to their deeds;but you shall utterlyoverthrowthem and breaktheir [sacred] pillarsin pieces.25"But you shall servethe LORDyour God,and He will blessyour breadand your water;and I will removesicknessfrom your midst.26"There shall be noone miscarryingor barrenin your land;I will fulfillthe numberof your days.27"I will sendMy terroraheadof you, and throwinto confusionallthe peopleamong whomyou come,and I will makeallyour enemiesturn[their] backsto you.28"I will sendhornetsaheadof you so that they will driveout the Hivites,the Canaanites,and the Hittitesbeforeyou.29"I will not drivethem out beforeyou in a singleyear,that the landmay not becomedesolateand the beastsof the fieldbecometoonumerousfor you.30"I will drivethem out beforeyou littleby little,untilyou becomefruitfuland takepossessionof the land.31"I will fixyour boundaryfrom the RedSeato the seaof the Philistines,and from the wildernessto the River[Euphrates]; for I will deliverthe inhabitantsof the landinto your hand,and you will drivethem out beforeyou.32"You shall makenocovenantwith them or with their gods.33"They shall not livein your land,becausethey will make you sinagainst Me; for [if] you servetheir gods,it will surelybe a snareto you."
