The Flying Scroll
1Then I turned,and lifted upmine eyes,and looked,and behold a flyingroll.2And he saidunto me, What seestthou? And I answered,I seea flyingroll;the lengththereof [is] twentycubits,and the breadththereof tencubits.3Then saidhe unto me, This [is] the cursethat goeth forthover the faceof the whole earth:for every one that stealethshall be cut off[as] on this side accordingto it; and every one that swearethshall be cut off[as] on that side accordingto it.4I will bring it forth,saiththe LORDof hosts,and it shall enterinto the houseof the thief,and into the houseof him that swearethfalselyby my name:and it shall remainin the midstof his house,and shall consumeit with the timberthereof and the stonesthereof.
The Woman in a Basket
5Then the angelthat talkedwith me went forth,and saidunto me, Lift upnow thine eyes,and seewhat [is] this that goeth forth.6And I said,What [is] it? And he said,This [is] an ephahthat goeth forth.He saidmoreover, This [is] their resemblancethrough all the earth.7And, behold, there was lifted upa talentof lead:and this [is] awomanthat sittethin the midstof the ephah.8And he said,This [is] wickedness.And he castit into the midstof the ephah;and he castthe weightof leadupon the mouththereof.9Then lifted I upmine eyes,and looked,and, behold, there came outtwowomen,and the wind[was] in their wings;for they hadwingslike the wingsof a stork:and they lifted upthe ephahbetween the earthand the heaven.10Then saidI to the angelthat talkedwith me, Whither do these bearthe ephah?11And he saidunto me, To buildit an housein the landof Shinar:and it shall be established,and setthere upon her own base.
