Tell of His Wonderful Works!
(1 Chronicles 16:7-36;Psalm 95:1-11;Psalm 106:1-48)
1O give thanksunto the LORD;callupon his name:make knownhis deedsamong the people.
2Singunto him, sing psalmsunto him: talkye of all his wondrous works.
3Gloryye in his holyname:let the heartof them rejoicethat seekthe LORD.
4Seekthe LORD,and his strength:seekhis faceevermore.
5Rememberhis marvellous worksthat he hath done;his wonders,and the judgmentsof his mouth;
6O ye seedof Abrahamhis servant,ye childrenof Jacobhis chosen.
7He [is] the LORDour God:his judgments[are] in all the earth.
8He hath rememberedhis covenantfor ever,the word[which] he commandedto a thousandgenerations.
9Which [covenant] he madewith Abraham,and his oathunto Isaac;
10And confirmedthe same unto Jacobfor a law,[and] to Israel[for] an everlastingcovenant:
11Saying,Unto thee will I givethe landof Canaan,the lotof your inheritance:
12When they were [but] a few menin number;yea, very few,and strangersin it.
13When they wentfrom one nationto another, from [one] kingdomto anotherpeople;
14He sufferedno manto do them wrong:yea, he reprovedkingsfor their sakes;
15[Saying], Touchnot mine anointed,and do my prophetsno harm.
16Moreover he calledfor a famineupon the land:he brakethe whole staffof bread.
17He senta manbeforethem, [even] Joseph,[who] was soldfor a servant:
18Whose feetthey hurtwith fetters:hewas laidin iron:
19Until the timethat his wordcame:the wordof the LORDtriedhim.
20The kingsentand loosedhim; [even] the rulerof the people,and let him go free.
21He madehim lordof his house,and rulerof all his substance:
22To bindhis princesat his pleasure;and teach his senatorswisdom.
23Israelalso cameinto Egypt;and Jacobsojournedin the landof Ham.
24And he increasedhis peoplegreatly;and made them strongerthan their enemies.
25He turnedtheir heartto hatehis people,to deal subtillywith his servants.
26He sentMoseshis servant;[and] Aaronwhom he had chosen.
27They shewedhis signsamong them, and wondersin the landof Ham.
28He sentdarkness,and made it dark;and they rebellednot against his word.
29He turnedtheir watersinto blood,and slewtheir fish.
30Their landbrought forthfrogsin abundance,in the chambersof their kings.
31He spake,and there camedivers sorts of flies,[and] licein all their coasts.
32He gavethem hailfor rain,[and] flamingfirein their land.
33He smotetheir vinesalso and their fig trees;and brakethe treesof their coasts.
34He spake,and the locustscame,and caterpillers,and that without number,
35And did eat upall the herbsin their land,and devouredthe fruitof their ground.
36He smotealso all the firstbornin their land,the chiefof all their strength.
37He brought them forthalso with silverand gold:and [there was] not one feeble[person] among their tribes.
38Egyptwas gladwhen they departed:for the fearof them fellupon them.
39He spreada cloudfor a covering;and fireto give lightin the night.
40[The people] asked,and he broughtquails,and satisfiedthem with the breadof heaven.
41He openedthe rock,and the watersgushed out;they ranin the dry places[like] a river.
42For he rememberedhis holypromise,[and] Abrahamhis servant.
43And he brought forthhis peoplewith joy,[and] his chosenwith gladness:
44And gavethem the landsof the heathen:and they inheritedthe labourof the people;
45That they might observehis statutes,and keephis laws.Praiseye the LORD.
