The Stiff-Necked will Be Destroyed
1He,that being often reprovedhardeneth[his] neck,shall suddenlybe destroyed,and that without remedy.
2When the righteousare in authority,the peoplerejoice:but when the wickedbeareth rule,the peoplemourn.
3Whosolovethwisdomrejoicethhis father:but he that keepeth companywith harlotsspendeth[his] substance.
4The kingby judgmentestablisheththe land:but hethat receiveth giftsoverthrowethit.
5A manthat flatterethhis neighbourspreadetha netfor his feet.
6In the transgressionof an evilman[there is] a snare:but the righteousdoth singand rejoice.
7The righteousconsidereththe causeof the poor:[but] the wickedregardethnot to know[it].
8Scornfulmenbringa cityinto a snare:but wise[men] turn awaywrath.
9[If] a wisemancontendethwith a foolishman,whether he rageor laugh,[there is] no rest.
10The bloodthirstyhatethe upright:but the justseekhis soul.
11A foolutterethall his mind:but a wise[man] keepethit in till afterwards.
12If a rulerhearkento lies,all his servants[are] wicked.
13The poorand the deceitfulmanmeet together:the LORDlightenethboththeir eyes.
14The kingthat faithfullyjudgeththe poor,his throneshall be establishedfor ever.
15The rodand reproofgivewisdom:but a childleft[to himself] bringeth his motherto shame.
16When the wickedare multiplied,transgressionincreaseth:but the righteousshall seetheir fall.
17Correctthy son,and he shall give thee rest;yea, he shall givedelightunto thy soul.
18Where [there is] no vision,the peopleperish:but he that keepeththe law,happy[is] he.
19A servantwill not be correctedby words:for though he understandhe will not answer.
20Seestthou a man[that is] hastyin his words?[there is] more hopeof a foolthan of him.
21He that delicately bringeth uphis servantfrom a childshall have him become [his] sonat the length.
22An angrymanstirreth upstrife,and a furiousmanaboundeth intransgression.
23A man'sprideshall bring him low:but honourshall upholdthe humblein spirit.
24Whoso is partnerwith a thiefhatethhis own soul:he hearethcursing,and bewrayeth[it] not.
25The fearof manbringetha snare:but whoso putteth his trustin the LORDshall be safe.
26Manyseekthe ruler'sfavour;but [every] man'sjudgment[cometh] from the LORD.
27An unjustman[is] an abominationto the just:and [he that is] uprightin the way[is] abominationto the wicked.
