Wine is a Mocker
1Wine[is] a mocker,strong drink[is] raging:and whosoever is deceivedthereby is not wise.
2The fearof a king[is] as the roaringof a lion:[whoso] provoketh him to angersinneth[against] his own soul.
3[It is] an honourfor a manto ceasefrom strife:but every foolwill be meddling.
4The sluggardwill not plowby reason of the cold;[therefore] shall he beg{08675;07592:08799} in harvest,and [have] nothing.
5Counselin the heartof man[is like] deepwater;but a manof understandingwill draw it out.
6Mostmenwill proclaimevery onehis own goodness:but a faithfulmanwho can find?
7The just[man] walkethin his integrity:his children[are] blessedafterhim.
8A kingthat sitteth inthe throneof judgmentscattereth awayall evilwith his eyes.
9Who can say,I have made my heartclean,I am purefrom my sin?
10Divers weights,[and] divers measures,bothof them [are] alikeabominationto the LORD.
11Even a childis knownby his doings,whether his work[be] pure,and whether [it be] right.
12The hearingear,and the seeingeye,the LORDhath madeeven bothof them.
13Lovenot sleep,lest thou come to poverty;openthine eyes,[and] thou shalt be satisfiedwith bread.
14[It is] naught,[it is] naught,saiththe buyer:but when he is gonehis way, then he boasteth.
15There isgold,and a multitudeof rubies:but the lipsof knowledge[are] a preciousjewel.
16Takehis garmentthat is surety[for] a stranger:and take a pledgeof him for a strange woman.
17Breadof deceit[is] sweetto a man;but afterwardshis mouthshall be filledwith gravel.
18[Every] purposeis establishedby counsel:and with good advicemakewar.
19He that goeth about[as] a talebearerrevealethsecrets:therefore meddlenot with him that flatterethwith his lips.
20Whoso cursethhis fatheror his mother,his lampshall be put outin obscuredarkness.
21An inheritance[may be] gotten hastily{08675;0973:08794} at the beginning;but the endthereof shall not be blessed.
22Saynot thou, I will recompenseevil;[but] wait onthe LORD,and he shall savethee.
23Divers weights[are] an abominationunto the LORD;and a FALSEbalance[is] not good.
24Man'sgoings[are] of the LORD;how can a manthen understandhis own way?
25[It is] a snareto the man[who] devoureth[that which is] holy,and aftervowsto make enquiry.
26A wisekingscattereththe wicked,and bringeththe wheelover them.
27The spiritof man[is] the candleof the LORD,searchingall the inward partsof the belly.
28Mercyand truthpreservethe king:and his throneis upholdenby mercy.
29The gloryof young men[is] their strength:and the beautyof old men[is] the gray head.
30The bluenessof a woundcleansethaway evil:so [do] stripesthe inward partsof the belly.
