The Tongue's Answer is from the Lord
1The preparationsof the heartin man,and the answerof the tongue,[is] from the LORD.
2All the waysof a man[are] cleanin his own eyes;but the LORDweigheththe spirits.
3Committhy worksunto the LORD,and thy thoughtsshall be established.
4The LORDhath madeall [things] for himself:yea, even the wickedfor the dayof evil.
5Every one [that is] proudin heart[is] an abominationto the LORD:[though] hand[join] in hand,he shall not be unpunished.
6By mercyand truthiniquityis purged:and by the fearof the LORD[men] departfrom evil.
7When a man'swayspleasethe LORD,he maketh even his enemiesto be at peacewith him.
8Better[is] a littlewith righteousnessthan greatrevenueswithout right.
9A man'sheartdevisethhis way:but the LORDdirectethhis steps.
10A divine sentence[is] in the lipsof the king:his mouthtransgressethnot in judgment.
11A justweightand balance[are] the LORD'S:all the weightsof the bag[are] his work.
12[It is] an abominationto kingsto commitwickedness:for the throneis establishedby righteousness.
13Righteouslips[are] the delightof kings;and they lovehim that speakethright.
14The wrathof a king[is as] messengersof death:but a wisemanwill pacifyit.
15In the lightof the king'scountenance[is] life;and his favour[is] as a cloudof the latter rain.
16How much better[is it] to getwisdomthan gold!and to getunderstandingrather to be chosenthan silver!
17The highwayof the upright[is] to departfrom evil:he that keepethhis waypreservethhis soul.
18Pride[goeth] beforedestruction,and an haughtyspiritbeforea fall.
19Better[it is to be] of an humblespiritwith the lowly,than to dividethe spoilwith the proud.
20He that handleth a matterwiselyshall findgood:and whoso trustethin the LORD,happy[is] he.
21The wisein heartshall be calledprudent:and the sweetnessof the lipsincreasethlearning.
22Understanding[is] a wellspringof lifeunto him that hathit: but the instructionof fools[is] folly.
23The heartof the wiseteachethhis mouth,and addethlearningto his lips.
24Pleasantwords[are as] an honeycomb,sweetto the soul,and healthto the bones.
25There isa waythat seemeth rightuntoa man,but the endthereof [are] the waysof death.
26Hethat labourethlabourethfor himself; for his mouthcravethit of him.
27An ungodlymandiggeth upevil:and in his lips[there is] as a burningfire.
28A frowardmansowethstrife:and a whispererseparatethchief friends.
29A violentmanenticethhis neighbour,and leadethhim into the way[that is] not good.
30He shuttethhis eyesto devisefroward things:movinghis lipshe bringethevilto pass.
31The hoary head[is] a crownof glory,[if] it be foundin the wayof righteousness.
32[He that is] slowto anger[is] betterthan the mighty;and he that rulethhis spiritthan he that taketha city.
33The lotis castinto the lap;but the whole disposingthereof [is] of the LORD.
