Every Wise Woman Builds Her House
1Every wisewomanbuildethher house:but the foolishplucketh it downwith her hands.
2He that walkethin his uprightnessfeareththe LORD:but [he that is] perversein his waysdespisethhim.
3In the mouthof the foolish[is] a rodof pride:but the lipsof the wiseshall preservethem.
4Where no oxen[are], the crib[is] clean:but muchincrease[is] by the strengthof the ox.
5A faithfulwitnesswill not lie:but a FALSEwitnesswill utterlies.
6A scornerseekethwisdom,and [findeth it] not: but knowledge[is] easyunto him that understandeth.
7Gofrom the presenceof a foolishman,when thou perceivestnot [in him] the lipsof knowledge.
8The wisdomof the prudent[is] to understandhis way:but the follyof fools[is] deceit.
9Foolsmake a mockat sin:but among the righteous[there is] favour.
10The heartknowethhis ownbitterness;and a strangerdoth not intermeddlewith his joy.
11The houseof the wickedshall be overthrown:but the tabernacleof the uprightshall flourish.
12There isa waywhich seemeth rightuntoa man,but the endthereof [are] the waysof death.
13Even in laughterthe heartis sorrowful;and the endof that mirth[is] heaviness.
14The backsliderin heartshall be filledwith his own ways:and a goodman[shall be satisfied] from himself.
15The simplebelievethevery word:but the prudent[man] looketh wellto his going.
16A wise[man] feareth,and departethfrom evil:but the foolrageth,and is confident.
17[He that is] soonangrydealethfoolishly:and a manof wicked devicesis hated.
18The simpleinheritfolly:but the prudentare crownedwith knowledge.
19The evilbowbeforethe good;and the wickedat the gatesof the righteous.
20The pooris hatedeven of his own neighbour:but the rich[hath] manyfriends.
21He that despisethhis neighboursinneth:but he that hath mercyon the poor,happy[is] he.
22Do they not errthat deviseevil?but mercyand truth[shall be] to them that devisegood.
23In all labourthere is profit:but the talkof the lips[tendeth] only to penury.
24The crownof the wise[is] their riches:[but] the foolishnessof fools[is] folly.
25A TRUEwitnessdeliverethsouls:but a deceitful[witness] speakethlies.
26In the fearof the LORD[is] strongconfidence:and his childrenshall have a place of refuge.
27The fearof the LORD[is] a fountainof life,to departfrom the snaresof death.
28In the multitudeof people[is] the king'shonour:but in the wantof people[is] the destructionof the prince.
29[He that is] slowto wrath[is] of greatunderstanding:but [he that is] hastyof spiritexaltethfolly.
30A soundheart[is] the lifeof the flesh:but envythe rottennessof the bones.
31He that oppresseththe poorreproachethhis Maker:but he that honourethhim hath mercyon the poor.
32The wickedis driven awayin his wickedness:but the righteoushath hopein his death.
33Wisdomrestethin the heartof him that hath understanding:but [that which is] in the midstof foolsis made known.
34Righteousnessexaltetha nation:but sin[is] a reproachto any people.
35The king'sfavour[is] toward a wiseservant:but his wrathis [against] him that causeth shame.
