Loving Discipline and Knowledge
1Whoso lovethinstructionlovethknowledge:but he that hatethreproof[is] brutish.
2A good[man] obtainethfavourof the LORD:but a manof wicked deviceswill he condemn.
3A manshall not be establishedby wickedness:but the rootof the righteousshall not be moved.
4A virtuouswoman[is] a crownto her husband:but she that maketh ashamed[is] as rottennessin his bones.
5The thoughtsof the righteous[are] right:[but] the counselsof the wicked[are] deceit.
6The wordsof the wicked[are] to lie in waitfor blood:but the mouthof the uprightshall deliverthem.
7The wickedare overthrown,and [are] not: but the houseof the righteousshall stand.
8A manshall be commendedaccordingto his wisdom:but he that is of a perverseheartshall be despised.
9[He that is] despised,and hath a servant,[is] betterthan he that honourethhimself, and lackethbread.
10A righteous[man] regardeththe lifeof his beast:but the tender merciesof the wicked[are] cruel.
11He that tillethhis landshall be satisfiedwith bread:but he that followethvain[persons is] voidof understanding.
12The wickeddesireththe netof evil[men]: but the rootof the righteousyieldeth[fruit].
13The wickedis snaredby the transgressionof [his] lips:but the justshall come outof trouble.
14A manshall be satisfiedwith goodby the fruitof [his] mouth:and the recompenceof a man'shandsshall be rendered{08675;07725:08799} unto him.
15The wayof a fool[is] rightin his own eyes:but he that hearkenethunto counsel[is] wise.
16A fool'swrathis presentlyknown:but a prudent[man] coverethshame.
17[He that] speakethtruthsheweth forthrighteousness:but a FALSEwitnessdeceit.
18There isthat speakethlike the piercingsof a sword:but the tongueof the wise[is] health.
19The lipof truthshall be establishedfor ever:but a lyingtongue[is] but for a moment.
20Deceit[is] in the heartof them that imagineevil:but to the counsellorsof peace[is] joy.
21There shall no evilhappento the just:but the wickedshall be filledwith mischief.
22Lyinglips[are] abominationto the LORD:but they that dealtruly[are] his delight.
23A prudentmanconcealethknowledge:but the heartof foolsproclaimethfoolishness.
24The handof the diligentshall bear rule:but the slothfulshall be under tribute.
25Heavinessin the heartof manmaketh it stoop:but a goodwordmaketh it glad.
26The righteous[is] more excellentthan his neighbour:but the wayof the wickedseduceththem.
27The slothful[man] roastethnot that which he took in hunting:but the substanceof a diligentman[is] precious.
28In the wayof righteousness[is] life;and [in] the pathway[thereof there is] no death.
