And the LORDsentfieryserpentsamong the people, and they bitthe people;and muchpeopleof Israeldied.7Therefore the peoplecameto Moses, and said,We have sinned, for we have spokenagainst the LORD,and against thee; prayunto the LORD,that he take awaythe serpentsfrom us. 10And the childrenof Israelset forward, and pitchedin Oboth.11And they journeyedfrom Oboth, and pitchedat Ijeabarim,in the wildernesswhich [is] beforeMoab, toward the sunrising.12From thence they removed, and pitchedin the valleyof Zared.13From thence they removed, and pitchedon the other sideof Arnon, which [is] in the wildernessthat cometh outof the coastsof the Amorites:for Arnon[is] the borderof Moab, between Moaband the Amorites.
Wherefore it is saidin the bookof the warsof the LORD,What he didin the Red sea,and in the brooksof Arnon,
And at the streamof the brooksthat goeth downto the dwellingof Ar,and liethupon the borderof Moab.
And from thence [they went] to Beer:that [is] the wellwhereof the LORDspakeunto Moses,Gatherthe peopletogether, and I will givethem water.

Wherefore they that speak in proverbssay,Comeinto Heshbon, let the cityof Sihonbe builtand prepared:
For there is a firegone outof Heshbon,a flamefrom the cityof Sihon:it hath consumedArof Moab,[and] the lords of the high placesof Arnon.
Woeto thee, Moab!thou art undone,O peopleof Chemosh:he hath givenhis sonsthat escaped, and his daughters, into captivityunto Sihonkingof the Amorites.
We have shotat them; Heshbonis perishedeven unto Dibon, and we have laid them wasteeven unto Nophah, which [reacheth] unto Medeba.
