Order of the Camps
1And the LORDspakeunto Mosesand unto Aaron,saying,2Every manof the childrenof Israelshall pitchby his own standard,with the ensignof their father'shouse:far offaboutthe tabernacleof the congregationshall they pitch.3And on the east sidetoward the risingof the sun shall they of the standardof the campof Judahpitchthroughout their armies:and Nahshonthe sonof Amminadab[shall be] captainof the childrenof Judah.4And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] threescore and fourteenthousandand sixhundred.5And those that do pitchnext unto him [shall be] the tribeof Issachar:and Nethaneelthe sonof Zuar[shall be] captainof the childrenof Issachar.6And his host,and those that were numberedthereof, [were] fiftyand fourthousandand fourhundred.7[Then] the tribeof Zebulun:and Eliabthe sonof Helon[shall be] captainof the childrenof Zebulun.8And his host,and those that were numberedthereof, [were] fiftyand seventhousandand fourhundred.9All that were numberedin the campof Judah[were] an hundredthousandand fourscorethousandand sixthousandand fourhundred,throughout their armies.These shall firstset forth.
10On the south side[shall be] the standardof the campof Reubenaccording to their armies:and the captainof the childrenof Reuben[shall be] Elizurthe sonof Shedeur.11And his host,and those that were numberedthereof, [were] fortyand sixthousandand fivehundred.12And those which pitchby him [shall be] the tribeof Simeon:and the captainof the childrenof Simeon[shall be] Shelumielthe sonof Zurishaddai.13And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] fiftyand ninethousandand threehundred.14Then the tribeof Gad:and the captainof the sonsof Gad[shall be] Eliasaphthe sonof Reuel.15And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] fortyand fivethousandand sixhundredand fifty.16All that were numberedin the campof Reuben[were] an hundredthousandand fiftyand onethousandand fourhundredand fifty,throughout their armies.And they shall set forthin the second rank.
17Then the tabernacleof the congregationshall set forwardwith the campof the Levitesin the midstof the camp:as they encamp,so shall they set forward,every manin his placeby their standards.
18On the west side[shall be] the standardof the campof Ephraimaccording to their armies:and the captainof the sonsof Ephraim[shall be] Elishamathe sonof Ammihud.19And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] fortythousandand fivehundred.20And by him [shall be] the tribeof Manasseh:and the captainof the childrenof Manasseh[shall be] Gamalielthe sonof Pedahzur.21And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] thirtyand twothousandand two hundred.22Then the tribeof Benjamin:and the captainof the sonsof Benjamin[shall be] Abidanthe sonof Gideoni.23And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] thirtyand fivethousandand fourhundred.24All that were numberedof the campof Ephraim[were] an hundredthousandand eightthousandand an hundred,throughout their armies.And they shall go forwardin the third rank.
25The standardof the campof Dan[shall be] on the north sideby their armies:and the captainof the childrenof Dan[shall be] Ahiezerthe sonof Ammishaddai.26And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] threescoreand twothousandand sevenhundred.27And those that encampby him [shall be] the tribeof Asher:and the captainof the childrenof Asher[shall be] Pagielthe sonof Ocran.28And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] fortyand onethousandand fivehundred.29Then the tribeof Naphtali:and the captainof the childrenof Naphtali[shall be] Ahirathe sonof Enan.30And his host,and those that were numberedof them, [were] fiftyand threethousandand fourhundred.31All they that were numberedin the campof Dan[were] an hundredthousandand fiftyand seventhousandand sixhundred.They shall gohindmostwith their standards.
32These [are] those which were numberedof the childrenof Israelby the houseof their fathers:all those that were numberedof the campsthroughout their hosts[were] sixhundredthousandand threethousandand fivehundredand fifty.33But the Leviteswere not numberedamongthe childrenof Israel;as the LORDcommandedMoses.34And the childrenof Israeldidaccording to all that the LORDcommandedMoses:so they pitchedby their standards,and so they set forward,every oneafter their families,according to the houseof their fathers.
