Thanksgiving for Their Faith

3We are boundto thankGodalwaysforyou,brethren,asit ismeet,becausethat yourfaithgroweth exceedingly,andthe charityof everyoneof youalltowardeach otheraboundeth;4Sothat weourselvesgloryinyouinthe churchesof Godforyourpatienceandfaithinallyourpersecutionsandtribulationsthatye endure:
Christ's Coming
5[Which is] a manifest tokenof the righteousjudgmentof God,thatyemay be counted worthyof the kingdomof God,forwhichyealsosuffer:6Seeing[it is] a righteous thingwithGodto recompensetribulationto them that troubleyou;7Andto youwho are troubledrestwithus,whenthe LordJesusshall be revealedfromheavenwithhismightyangels,8Inflamingfiretakingvengeanceon them that knownotGod,andthat obeynotthe gospelof ourLordJesusChrist:9Whoshall be punishedwith everlastingdestructionfromthe presenceof the Lord,andfromthe gloryof hispower;10Whenhe shall cometo be glorifiedinhissaints,andto be admiredinallthem that believe(becauseourtestimonyamongyouwas believed) inthatday.11Whereforealsowe prayalwaysforyou,thatourGodwould countyouworthyof [this] calling,andfulfilallthe good pleasureof [his] goodness,andthe workof faithwithpower:12Thatthe nameof ourLordJesusChristmay be glorifiedinyou,andyeinhim,according tothe graceof ourGodandthe LordJesusChrist.
