The Great Day of the Lord
1For, behold, the daycometh,that shall burnas an oven;and all the proud,yea, and all that dowickedly,shall be stubble:and the daythat comethshall burn them up,saiththe LORDof hosts,that it shall leavethem neither rootnor branch.2But unto you that fearmy nameshall the Sunof righteousnessarisewith healingin his wings;and ye shall go forth,and grow upas calvesof the stall.3And ye shall tread downthe wicked;for they shall be ashesunder the solesof your feetin the daythat I shall do[this], saiththe LORDof hosts.
4Rememberye the lawof Mosesmy servant,which I commandedunto him in Horebfor all Israel,[with] the statutesand judgments.
5Behold, I will sendyou Elijahthe prophetbeforethe comingof the greatand dreadfuldayof the LORD:6And he shall turnthe heartof the fathersto the children,and the heartof the childrento their fathers,lest I comeand smitethe earthwith a curse.
