God Remembers Those who Repent 40If they shall confesstheir iniquity,and the iniquityof their fathers,with their trespasswhich they trespassedagainst me, and that also they have walkedcontraryunto me;41And [that] I also have walkedcontraryunto them, and have broughtthem into the landof their enemies;if thentheir uncircumcisedheartsbe humbled,and they then acceptof the punishment of their iniquity:42Then will I remembermy covenantwith Jacob,and also my covenantwith Isaac,and also my covenantwith Abrahamwill I remember;and I will rememberthe land.43The landalso shall be leftof them, and shall enjoyher sabbaths,while she lieth desolatewithout them: and they shall acceptof the punishment of their iniquity:because,even becausethey despisedmy judgments,and because their soulabhorredmy statutes.44And yetfor all that,when they bein the landof their enemies,I will not cast them away,neither will I abhorthem, to destroy them utterly,and to breakmy covenantwith them: for I [am] the LORDtheir God.45But I will for their sakes rememberthe covenantof their ancestors,whom I brought forthout of the landof Egyptin the sightof the heathen,that I might be their God:I [am] the LORD. 46These [are] the statutesand judgmentsand laws,which the LORDmadebetween him and the childrenof Israelin mountSinaiby the handof Moses. |
