Feasts of the Lord
(Exodus 23:14-19)
1And the LORDspakeunto Moses,saying,2Speakunto the childrenof Israel,and sayunto them, [Concerning] the feastsof the LORD,which ye shall proclaim[to be] holyconvocations,[even] these [are] my feasts.
3Sixdaysshall workbe done:but the seventhday[is] the sabbathof rest,an holyconvocation;ye shall dono work[therein]: it [is] the sabbathof the LORDin all your dwellings.
The Passover Feast
(Exodus 12:14-28;Numbers 28:16-25;Deuteronomy 16:1-8)
4These [are] the feastsof the LORD,[even] holyconvocations,which ye shall proclaimin their seasons.5In the fourteenth[day] of the firstmonthat even[is] the LORD'Spassover.6And on the fifteenthdayof the same month[is] the feastof unleavened breadunto the LORD:sevendaysye must eatunleavened bread.7In the firstdayye shall have an holyconvocation:ye shall dono servileworktherein.8But ye shall offeran offering made by fireunto the LORDsevendays:in the seventhday[is] an holyconvocation:ye shall dono servilework[therein].
The Feast of Firstfruits
9And the LORDspakeunto Moses,saying,10Speakunto the childrenof Israel,and sayunto them, When ye be comeinto the landwhich I giveunto you, and shall reapthe harvestthereof, then ye shall bringa sheafof the firstfruitsof your harvestunto the priest:11And he shall wavethe sheafbeforethe LORD,to be acceptedfor you: on the morrowafter the sabbaththe priestshall waveit.12And ye shall offerthat daywhen ye wavethe sheafan he lambwithout blemishof the firstyearfor a burnt offeringunto the LORD.13And the meat offeringthereof [shall be] twotenth dealsof fine flourmingledwith oil,an offering made by fireunto the LORD[for] a sweetsavour:and the drink offeringthereof [shall be] of wine,the fourth[part] of an hin.14And ye shall eatneither bread,nor parched corn,nor green ears,until the selfsamedaythatye have broughtan offeringunto your God:[it shall be] a statutefor everthroughout your generationsin all your dwellings.
The Feast of Pentecost
15And ye shall countunto you from the morrowafter the sabbath,from the daythat ye broughtthe sheafof the wave offering;sevensabbathsshall becomplete:16Even untothe morrowafter the seventhsabbathshall ye numberfiftydays;and ye shall offera newmeat offeringunto the LORD.17Ye shall bring outof your habitationstwowaveloavesof twotenth deals:they shall be of fine flour;they shall be bakenwith leaven;[they are] the firstfruitsunto the LORD.18And ye shall offerwith the breadsevenlambswithout blemishof the firstyear,and oneyoungbullock,and tworams:they shall be [for] a burnt offeringunto the LORD,with their meat offering,and their drink offerings,[even] an offering made by fire,of sweetsavourunto the LORD.19Then ye shall sacrificeonekidof the goatsfor a sin offering,and twolambsof the firstyearfor a sacrificeof peace offerings.20And the priestshall wavethem with the breadof the firstfruits[for] a wave offeringbeforethe LORD,with the twolambs:they shall be holyto the LORDfor the priest.21And ye shall proclaimon the selfsameday,[that] it may be an holyconvocationunto you: ye shall dono servilework[therein: it shall be] a statutefor everin all your dwellingsthroughout your generations.
22And when ye reapthe harvestof your land,thou shalt not make clean riddanceof the cornersof thy fieldwhen thou reapest,neither shalt thou gatherany gleaningof thy harvest:thou shalt leavethem unto the poor,and to the stranger:I [am] the LORDyour God.
The Feast of Trumpets
(Numbers 29:1-6)
23And the LORDspakeunto Moses,saying,24Speakunto the childrenof Israel,saying,In the seventhmonth,in the first[day] of the month,shall ye have a sabbath,a memorialof blowingof trumpets, an holyconvocation.25Ye shall dono servilework[therein]: but ye shall offeran offering made by fireunto the LORD.
The Day of Atonement
(Numbers 29:7-11)
26And the LORDspakeunto Moses,saying,27Alsoon the tenth[day] of this seventhmonth[there shall be] a dayof atonement:it shall be an holyconvocationunto you; and ye shall afflictyour souls,and offeran offering made by fireunto the LORD.28And ye shall dono workin that sameday:for it [is] a dayof atonement,to make an atonementfor you beforethe LORDyour God.29For whatsoever soul[it be] that shall not be afflictedin that sameday,he shall be cut offfrom among his people.30And whatsoever soul[it be] that doethany workin that sameday,the same soulwill I destroyfrom amonghis people.31Ye shall dono manner of work:[it shall be] a statutefor everthroughout your generationsin all your dwellings.32It [shall be] unto you a sabbathof rest,and ye shall afflictyour souls:in the ninth[day] of the monthat even,from evenunto even,shall ye celebrateyour sabbath.
The Feast of Booths
(Nehemiah 8:13-18)
33And the LORDspakeunto Moses,saying,34Speakunto the childrenof Israel,saying,The fifteenthdayof this seventhmonth[shall be] the feastof tabernacles[for] sevendaysunto the LORD.35On the firstday[shall be] an holyconvocation:ye shall dono servilework[therein].36Sevendaysye shall offeran offering made by fireunto the LORD:on the eighthdayshall be an holyconvocationunto you; and ye shall offeran offering made by fireunto the LORD:it [is] a solemn assembly;[and] ye shall dono servilework[therein].
37These [are] the feastsof the LORD,which ye shall proclaim[to be] holyconvocations,to offeran offering made by fireunto the LORD,a burnt offering,and a meat offering,a sacrifice,and drink offerings,every thingupon hisday:38Beside the sabbathsof the LORD,and beside your gifts,and beside all your vows,and beside all your freewill offerings,which ye giveunto the LORD.
39Also in the fifteenthdayof the seventhmonth,when ye have gatheredin the fruitof the land,ye shall keepa feastunto the LORDsevendays:on the firstday[shall be] a sabbath,and on the eighthday[shall be] a sabbath.40And ye shall takeyou on the firstdaythe boughsof goodlytrees,branchesof palmtrees, and the boughsof thicktrees,and willowsof the brook;and ye shall rejoicebeforethe LORDyour Godsevendays.41And ye shall keepit a feastunto the LORDsevendaysin the year.[It shall be] a statutefor everin your generations:ye shall celebrateit in the seventhmonth.42Ye shall dwellin boothssevendays;all that are Israelitesbornshall dwellin booths:43That your generationsmay knowthat I made the childrenof Israelto dwellin booths,when I brought them outof the landof Egypt:I [am] the LORDyour God.44And Mosesdeclaredunto the childrenof Israelthe feastsof the LORD.
