KJV + Strong's Abram Named Abraham 1And when Abramwas ninetyyearsoldand nine,the LORDappearedto Abram,and saidunto him, I [am] the AlmightyGod;walkbefore me,and be thou perfect. 2And I will makemy covenantbetween me and thee, and will multiplythee exceedingly. 3And Abramfellon his face:and Godtalkedwith him, saying, 4As for me,behold, my covenant[is] with thee, and thou shalt be a fatherof manynations. 5Neither shall thy nameany more be calledAbram,but thy nameshall be Abraham;for a fatherof manynationshave I made thee. 6And I will makethee exceedingfruitful,and I will makenationsof thee, and kingsshall come outof thee.7And I will establishmy covenantbetween me and thee and thy seedafter theein their generationsfor an everlastingcovenant,to be a Godunto thee, and to thy seedafter thee.8And I will giveunto thee, and to thy seedafter thee,the landwherein thou art a stranger,all the landof Canaan,for an everlastingpossession;and I will be their God. (Leviticus 12:1-8;Joshua 5:1-9;Acts 15:1-4) 9And Godsaidunto Abraham,Thou shalt keepmy covenanttherefore, thou, and thy seedafter theein their generations.10This [is] my covenant,which ye shall keep,between me and you and thy seedafter thee;Every man childamong you shall be circumcised.11And ye shall circumcisethe fleshof your foreskin;and it shall be a tokenof the covenantbetwixt me and you.12And he that is eightdaysoldshall be circumcisedamong you, every man childin your generations,he that is bornin the house,or boughtwith moneyof any stranger,which [is] not of thy seed.13He that is bornin thy house,and he that is boughtwith thy money,must needsbe circumcised:and my covenantshall be in your fleshfor an everlastingcovenant.14And the uncircumcisedman childwhosefleshof his foreskinis not circumcised,that soulshall be cut offfrom his people;he hath brokenmy covenant. 15And Godsaidunto Abraham,As for Saraithy wife,thou shalt not callher nameSarai,butSarah[shall] her name[be].16And I will blessher, and givethee a sonalso of her: yea, I will blessher, and she shall be [a mother] of nations;kingsof peopleshall be of her.17Then Abrahamfellupon his face,and laughed,and saidin his heart,Shall [a child] be bornunto him that is an hundredyearsold?and shall Sarah,that is ninetyyearsold,bear?18And Abrahamsaidunto God,O thatIshmaelmight livebefore thee!19And Godsaid,Sarahthy wifeshall bearthee a sonindeed;and thou shalt callhis nameIsaac:and I will establishmy covenantwith him for an everlastingcovenant,[and] with his seedafter him.20And as for Ishmael,I have heard thee:Behold, I have blessedhim, and will make him fruitful,and will multiplyhim exceedingly;twelveprincesshall he beget,and I will make hima greatnation.21But my covenantwill I establishwith Isaac,which Sarahshall bearunto thee at this set timein the nextyear.22And he left offtalkingwith him, and Godwent upfrom Abraham. 23And AbrahamtookIshmaelhis son,and all that were bornin his house,and all that were boughtwith his money,every maleamong the menof Abraham'shouse;and circumcisedthe fleshof their foreskinin the selfsameday,as Godhad saidunto him.24And Abraham[was] ninetyyearsoldand nine,when he was circumcisedin the fleshof his foreskin.25And Ishmaelhis son[was] thirteenyearsold,when he was circumcisedin the fleshof his foreskin.26In the selfsamedaywas Abrahamcircumcised,and Ishmaelhis son.27And all the menof his house,bornin the house,and boughtwith moneyof the stranger,were circumcisedwith him. |
