KJV + Strong's A Message to Ahaz 1And it came to pass in the daysof Ahazthe sonof Jotham,the sonof Uzziah,kingof Judah,[that] Rezinthe kingof Syria,and Pekahthe sonof Remaliah,kingof Israel,went uptoward Jerusalemto waragainst it, but couldnot prevailagainst it.2And it was toldthe houseof David,saying,Syriais confederatewith Ephraim.And his heartwas moved,and the heartof his people,as the treesof the woodare movedwiththe wind. 3Then saidthe LORDunto Isaiah,Go forthnow to meetAhaz,thou, and Shearjashubthy son,at the endof the conduitof the upperpoolin the highwayof the fuller'sfield;4And sayunto him, Take heed,and be quiet;fearnot, neither be faintheartedfor the twotailsof these smokingfirebrands,for the fierceangerof Rezinwith Syria,and of the sonof Remaliah.5Because Syria,Ephraim,and the sonof Remaliah,have taken evilcounselagainst thee, saying,6Let us go upagainst Judah,and vexit, and let us make a breachtherein for us, and seta kingin the midstof it, [even] the sonof Tabeal:7Thussaiththe LordGOD,It shall not stand,neither shall it come to pass.8For the headof Syria[is] Damascus,and the headof Damascus[is] Rezin;and within threescoreand fiveyearsshall Ephraimbe broken,that it be not a people.9And the headof Ephraim[is] Samaria,and the headof Samaria[is] Remaliah'sson.If ye will not believe,surely ye shall not be established.
