Future Glory for Zion
1Arise,shine;for thy lightis come,and the gloryof the LORDis risenupon thee.
2For, behold, the darknessshall coverthe earth,and gross darknessthe people:but the LORDshall ariseupon thee, and his gloryshall be seenupon thee.
3And the Gentilesshall cometo thy light,and kingsto the brightnessof thy rising.
4Lift upthine eyesround about,and see:all they gather themselves together,they cometo thee: thy sonsshall comefrom far,and thy daughtersshall be nursedat [thy] side.
5Then thou shalt see{08675;03372:08799}, and flow together,and thine heartshall fear,and be enlarged;because the abundanceof the seashall be convertedunto thee, the forcesof the Gentilesshall comeunto thee.
6The multitudeof camelsshall coverthee, the dromedariesof Midianand Ephah;all they from Shebashall come:they shall bringgoldand incense;and they shall shew forththe praisesof the LORD.
7All the flocksof Kedarshall be gathered togetherunto thee, the ramsof Nebaiothshall ministerunto thee: they shall come upwith acceptanceon mine altar,and I will glorifythe houseof my glory.
8Who [are] these [that] flyas a cloud,and as the dovesto their windows?
9Surely the islesshall waitfor me, and the shipsof Tarshishfirst,to bringthy sonsfrom far,their silverand their goldwith them, unto the nameof the LORDthy God,and to the Holy Oneof Israel,because he hath glorifiedthee.
10And the sonsof strangersshall build upthy walls,and their kingsshall ministerunto thee: for in my wrathI smotethee, but in my favourhave I had mercyon thee.
11Therefore thy gatesshall be opencontinually;they shall not be shutdaynor night;that [men] may bringunto thee the forcesof the Gentiles,and [that] their kings[may be] brought.
12For the nationand kingdomthat will not servethee shall perish;yea, [those] nationsshall be utterlywasted.
13The gloryof Lebanonshall comeunto thee, the fir tree,the pine tree,and the boxtogether,to beautifythe placeof my sanctuary;and I will make the placeof my feetglorious.
14The sonsalso of them that afflictedthee shall comebendingunto thee; and all they that despisedthee shall bow themselves downat the solesof thy feet;and they shall callthee, The cityof the LORD,The Zionof the Holy Oneof Israel.
15Whereasthou hast been forsakenand hated,so that no man went through[thee], I will makethee an eternalexcellency,a joyof manygenerations.
16Thou shalt also suckthe milkof the Gentiles,and shalt suckthe breastof kings:and thou shalt knowthat I the LORD[am] thy Saviourand thy Redeemer,the mighty Oneof Jacob.
17For brassI will bringgold,and for ironI will bringsilver,and for woodbrass,and for stonesiron:I will also makethy officerspeace,and thine exactorsrighteousness.
18Violenceshall no more be heardin thy land,wastingnor destructionwithin thy borders;but thou shalt callthy wallsSalvation,and thy gatesPraise.
19The sunshall be no more thy lightby day;neither for brightnessshall the moongive lightunto thee: but the LORDshall be unto thee an everlastinglight,and thy Godthy glory.
20Thy sunshall no more go down;neither shall thy moonwithdrawitself: for the LORDshall be thine everlastinglight,and the daysof thy mourningshall be ended.
21Thy peoplealso [shall be] all righteous:they shall inheritthe landfor ever,the branchof my planting,the workof my hands,that I may be glorified.
22A little oneshall become a thousand,and a small onea strongnation:I the LORDwill hastenit in his time.
