KJV + Strong's Isaiah's Vision of the Lord in His Glory 1In the yearthat kingUzziahdiedI sawalsothe Lordsittingupon a throne,highand lifted up,and his trainfilledthe temple.2Aboveit stoodthe seraphims:each onehad sixwings;with twainhe coveredhis face,and with twainhe coveredhis feet,and with twainhe did fly. 3And one criedunto another, and said,Holy,holy,holy,[is] the LORDof hosts:the whole earth[is] fullof his glory. 4And the postsof the doormovedat the voiceof him that cried,and the housewas filledwith smoke. 5Then saidI, Woe[is] me! for I am undone;because I [am] a manof uncleanlips,and I dwellin the midstof a peopleof uncleanlips:for mine eyeshave seenthe King,the LORDof hosts. 6Then flewoneof the seraphimsunto me, having a live coalin his hand,[which] he had takenwith the tongsfrom off the altar:7And he laid[it] upon my mouth,and said,Lo, this hath touchedthy lips;and thine iniquityis taken away,and thy sinpurged. Isaiah's Commission 8Also I heardthe voiceof the Lord,saying,Whom shall I send,and who will gofor us? Then saidI, Here [am] I; sendme. 9And he said,Go,and tellthis people,Hearye indeed,but understandnot; and seeye indeed,but perceivenot. 10Make the heartof this peoplefat,and make their earsheavy,and shuttheir eyes;lest they seewith their eyes,and hearwith their ears,and understandwith their heart,and convert,and be healed. 11Then saidI, Lord,how long? And he answered,Until the citiesbe wastedwithout inhabitant,and the houseswithout man,and the landbe utterlydesolate, 12And the LORDhave removedmenfar away,and [there be] a greatforsakingin the midstof the land. 13But yet in it [shall be] a tenth,and [it] shall return,and shall be eaten:as a teil tree,and as an oak,whose substance[is] in them, when they cast[their leaves: so] the holyseed[shall be] the substancethereof. |
