Future Blessings for Zion
1Sing,O barren,thou [that] didst not bear;break forthinto singing,and cry aloud,thou [that] didst not travail with child:for more[are] the childrenof the desolatethan the childrenof the married wife,saiththe LORD.
2Enlargethe placeof thy tent,and let them stretch forththe curtainsof thine habitations:sparenot, lengthenthy cords,and strengthenthy stakes;
3For thou shalt break forthon the right handand on the left;and thy seedshall inheritthe Gentiles,and make the desolatecitiesto be inhabited.
4Fearnot; for thou shalt not be ashamed:neither be thou confounded;for thou shalt not be put to shame:for thou shalt forgetthe shameof thy youth,and shalt not rememberthe reproachof thy widowhoodany more.
5For thy Maker[is] thine husband;the LORDof hosts[is] his name;and thy Redeemerthe Holy Oneof Israel;The Godof the whole earthshall he be called.
6For the LORDhath calledthee as a womanforsakenand grievedin spirit,and a wifeof youth,when thou wast refused,saiththy God.
7For a smallmomenthave I forsakenthee; but with greatmercieswill I gatherthee.
8In a littlewrathI hidmy facefrom thee for a moment;but with everlastingkindnesswill I have mercyon thee, saiththe LORDthy Redeemer.
9For this [is as] the watersof Noahunto me: for [as] I have swornthat the watersof Noahshould no more go overthe earth;so have I swornthat I would not be wrothwith thee, nor rebukethee.
10For the mountainsshall depart,and the hillsbe removed;but my kindnessshall not departfrom thee, neither shall the covenantof my peacebe removed,saiththe LORDthat hath mercyon thee.
11O thou afflicted,tossed with tempest,[and] not comforted,behold, I will laythy stoneswith fair colours,and lay thy foundationswith sapphires.
12And I will makethy windowsof agates,and thy gatesof carbuncles,and all thy bordersof pleasantstones.
13And all thy children[shall be] taughtof the LORD;and great[shall be] the peaceof thy children.
14In righteousnessshalt thou be established:thou shalt be farfrom oppression;for thou shalt not fear:and from terror;for it shall not come nearthee.
15Behold, they shall surelygather together,[but] notby me: whosoevershall gather togetheragainst thee shall fallfor thy sake.
16Behold, I have createdthe smiththat bloweththe coalsin the fire,and that bringeth forthan instrumentfor his work;and I have createdthe wasterto destroy.
17No weaponthat is formedagainst thee shall prosper;and every tongue[that] shall riseagainst thee in judgmentthou shalt condemn.This [is] the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,and their righteousness[is] of me, saiththe LORD.
