O LORD,be graciousunto us; we have waitedfor thee: be thou their armevery morning,our salvationalso in the timeof trouble.

At the noiseof the tumultthe peoplefled;at the lifting upof thyself the nationswere scattered.

And your spoilshall be gathered[like] the gatheringof the caterpiller:as the running to and froof locustsshall he runupon them.

And the peopleshall be [as] the burningsof lime:[as] thornscut upshall they be burnedin the fire.

Hear,ye [that are] far off,what I have done;and, ye [that are] near,acknowledgemy might.

The sinnersin Zionare afraid;fearfulnesshath surprisedthe hypocrites.Who among us shall dwellwith the devouringfire?who among us shall dwellwith everlastingburnings?

He that walkethrighteously,and speakethuprightly;he that despiseththe gainof oppressions,that shakethhis handsfrom holdingof bribes,that stoppethhis earsfrom hearingof blood,and shuttethhis eyesfrom seeingevil;

He shall dwellon high:his place of defence[shall be] the munitionsof rocks:breadshall be givenhim; his waters[shall be] sure.

Thine eyesshall seethe kingin his beauty:they shall beholdthe landthat is very far off.

Thine heartshall meditateterror.Where [is] the scribe?where [is] the receiver?where [is] he that countedthe towers?

Thou shalt not seea fiercepeople,a peopleof a deeperspeechthan thou canst perceive;of a stammeringtongue,[that thou canst] not understand.

Lookupon Zion,the cityof our solemnities:thine eyesshall seeJerusalema quiethabitation,a tabernacle[that] shall not be taken down;not one of the stakesthereof shall everbe removed,neither shall any of the cordsthereof be broken.

But there the gloriousLORD[will be] unto us a placeof broadrivers[and] streams;wherein shall gonogalleywith oars,neither shall gallantshippassthereby.

For the LORD[is] our judge,the LORD[is] our lawgiver,the LORD[is] our king;he will saveus.
