Babylon is Fallen
1The burdenof the desertof the sea.As whirlwindsin the southpassthrough; [so] it comethfrom the desert,from a terribleland.
2A grievousvisionis declaredunto me; the treacherous dealerdealeth treacherously,and the spoilerspoileth.Go up,O Elam:besiege,O Media;all the sighingthereof have I made to cease.
3Therefore are my loinsfilledwith pain:pangshave taken holdupon me, as the pangsof a woman that travaileth:I was bowed downat the hearing[of it]; I was dismayedat the seeing[of it].
4My heartpanted,fearfulnessaffrightedme: the nightof my pleasurehath he turnedinto fearunto me.
5Preparethe table,watchin the watchtower,eat,drink:arise,ye princes,[and] anointthe shield.
6For thus hath the Lordsaidunto me, Go,seta watchman,let him declarewhat he seeth.
7And he sawa chariot[with] a coupleof horsemen,a chariotof asses,[and] a chariotof camels;and he hearkeneddiligentlywith muchheed:
8And he cried,A lion:My lord,I standcontinuallyupon the watchtowerin the daytime,and I am setin my wardwhole nights:
9And, behold, here cometha chariotof men,[with] a coupleof horsemen.And he answeredand said,Babylonis fallen,is fallen;and all the graven imagesof her godshe hath brokenunto the ground.
10O my threshing,and the cornof my floor:that which I have heardof the LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,have I declaredunto you.

12The watchmansaid,The morningcometh,and also the night:if ye will enquire,enquireye: return,come.

13The burdenupon Arabia.In the forestin Arabiashall ye lodge,O ye travelling companiesof Dedanim.
14The inhabitantsof the landof Temabroughtwaterto himthat was thirsty,they preventedwith their breadhim that fled.
15For they fledfromthe swords,fromthe drawnsword,and fromthe bentbow,and fromthe grievousnessof war.
16For thus hath the Lordsaidunto me, Within a year,according to the yearsof an hireling,and all the gloryof Kedarshall fail:17And the residueof the numberof archers,the mighty menof the childrenof Kedar,shall be diminished:for the LORDGodof Israelhath spoken[it].
