The Burden Concerning Moab
1The burdenof Moab.Because in the nightArof Moabis laid waste,[and] brought to silence;because in the nightKirof Moabis laid waste,[and] brought to silence;
2He is gone upto Bajith,and to Dibon,the high places,to weep:Moabshall howlover Nebo,and over Medeba:on all their heads[shall be] baldness,[and] every beardcut off.
3In their streetsthey shall girdthemselves with sackcloth:on the topsof their houses, and in their streets,every one shall howl,weepingabundantly.
4And Heshbonshall cry,and Elealeh:their voiceshall be heard[even] unto Jahaz:therefore the armed soldiersof Moabshall cry out;his lifeshall be grievousunto him.
5My heartshall cry outfor Moab;his fugitives[shall flee] unto Zoar,an heiferof three years old:for by the mounting upof Luhithwith weepingshall they go it up;for in the wayof Horonaimthey shall raise upa cryof destruction.
6For the watersof Nimrimshall be desolate:for the hayis withered away,the grassfaileth,there is no green thing.
7Therefore the abundancethey have gotten,and that which they have laid up,shall they carry awayto the brookof the willows.
8For the cryis gone round aboutthe bordersof Moab;the howlingthereof unto Eglaim,and the howlingthereof unto Beerelim.
9For the watersof Dimonshall be fullof blood:for I will bringmoreupon Dimon,lionsupon him that escapethof Moab,and upon the remnantof the land.
