Joseph Reveals his Identity

1Then Josephcouldnot refrainhimself before all them that stoodby him; and he cried,Causeevery manto go outfrom me. And there stoodno manwith him, while Josephmade himself knownunto his brethren.2And he weptaloud:and the Egyptiansand the houseof Pharaohheard.3And Josephsaidunto his brethren,I [am] Joseph;doth my fatheryet live?And his brethrencouldnot answerhim; for they were troubledat his presence.

4And Josephsaidunto his brethren,Come nearto me, I pray you. And they came near.And he said,I [am] Josephyour brother,whom ye soldinto Egypt.5Now therefore be not grieved,nor angrywith yourselves,that ye soldme hither: for Goddid sendme before youto preserve life.6For these two years[hath] the famine[been] inthe land:and yet [there are] fiveyears,in the which [there shall] neither[be] earingnor harvest.7And Godsentme before youto preserveyou a posterityin the earth,and to save your livesby a greatdeliverance.8So now [it was] not you [that] sentme hither, but God:and he hath mademe a fatherto Pharaoh,and lordof all his house,and a rulerthroughout all the landof Egypt.

Joseph Sends for his Father

9Hasteye, and go upto my father,and sayunto him, Thus saiththy sonJoseph,Godhath mademe lordof all Egypt:come downunto me, tarrynot:10And thou shalt dwellin the landof Goshen,and thou shalt be nearunto me, thou, and thy children,and thy children'schildren,and thy flocks,and thy herds,and all that thou hast:11And there will I nourishthee; for yet [there are] fiveyearsof famine;lest thou, and thy household,and all that thou hast, come to poverty.12And, behold, your eyessee,and the eyesof my brotherBenjamin,that [it is] my mouththat speakethunto you.13And ye shall tellmy fatherof all my gloryin Egypt,and of all that ye have seen;and ye shall hasteand bring downmy fatherhither.14And he fellupon his brotherBenjamin'sneck,and wept;and Benjaminweptupon his neck.15Moreover he kissedall his brethren,and weptupon them: and afterthat his brethrentalkedwith him.

Pharaoh Invites Jacob to Egypt

16And the famethereof was heardin Pharaoh'shouse,saying,Joseph'sbrethrenare come:and it pleasedPharaohwell,andhis servants.17And Pharaohsaidunto Joseph,Sayunto thy brethren,This doye; ladeyour beasts,and go,getyou unto the landof Canaan;18And takeyour fatherand your households,and comeunto me: and I will giveyou the goodof the landof Egypt,and ye shall eatthe fatof the land.19Now thou art commanded,this doye; takeyou wagonsout of the landof Egyptfor your little ones,and for your wives,and bringyour father,and come.20Alsoregardnot your stuff;for the goodof all the landof Egypt[is] yours.

21And the childrenof Israeldidso: and Josephgavethem wagons,according to the commandmentof Pharaoh,and gavethem provisionfor the way.22To all of them he gaveeach manchangesof raiment;but to Benjaminhe gavethreehundred[pieces] of silver,and fivechangesof raiment.23And to his fatherhe sentafter this[manner]; tenassesladenwith the good thingsof Egypt,and tenshe assesladenwith cornand breadand meatfor his fatherby the way.

24So he senthis brethrenaway,and they departed:and he saidunto them, See that ye fall not outby the way.

The Revival of Jacob

25And they went upout of Egypt,and cameinto the landof Canaanunto Jacobtheir father,26And toldhim, saying,Joseph[is] yet alive,and he [is] governorover all the landof Egypt.And Jacob's heartfainted,for he believedthem not.27And they toldhim all the wordsof Joseph,which he had saidunto them: and when he sawthe wagonswhich Josephhad sentto carryhim, the spiritof Jacobtheir fatherrevived:28And Israelsaid,[It is] enough;Josephmy son[is] yet alive:I will goand see himbefore I die.
