Esau Sells his Birthright 29And Jacobsodpottage:and Esaucamefrom the field,and he [was] faint:30And Esausaidto Jacob,Feedme, I pray thee, withthat samered[pottage]; for I [am] faint:therefore was his namecalledEdom.31And Jacobsaid,Sellme this daythy birthright.32And Esausaid,Behold, I [am] at the pointto die:and what profit shall this birthrightdo to me?33And Jacobsaid,Swearto me this day;and he swareunto him: and he soldhis birthrightunto Jacob.34Then JacobgaveEsaubreadand pottageof lentiles;and he did eatand drink,and rose up,and went his way:thus Esaudespised[his] birthright. |
