KJV + Strong's Moses' Staff 1And Mosesansweredand said,But, behold, they will not believeme, nor hearkenunto my voice:for they will say,The LORDhath not appearedunto thee.2And the LORDsaidunto him, What [is] that in thine hand?And he said,A rod.3And he said,Castit on the ground.And he castit on the ground,and it became a serpent;and Mosesfledfrom beforeit.4And the LORDsaidunto Moses,Put forththine hand,and takeit by the tail.And he put forthhis hand,and caughtit, and it became a rodin his hand:5That they may believethat the LORDGodof their fathers,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob,hath appearedunto thee. Moses' Hand 6And the LORDsaidfurthermoreunto him, Putnow thine handinto thy bosom.And he puthis handinto his bosom:and when he tookit out, behold, his hand[was] leprousas snow.7And he said,Putthine handinto thy bosomagain.And he puthis handinto his bosomagain;and pluckedit out of his bosom,and, behold, it was turned againas his [other] flesh.8And it shall come to pass, if they will not believethee, neither hearkento the voiceof the firstsign,that they will believethe voiceof the lattersign.9And it shall come to pass, if they will not believealso these twosigns,neither hearkenunto thy voice,that thou shalt takeof the waterof the river,and pour[it] upon the dry[land]: and the waterwhich thou takestout of the rivershall become bloodupon the dry[land]. The Appointment of Aaron 10And Mosessaidunto the LORD,Omy Lord,I[am] not eloquent,neither heretofore,nor sincethou hast spokenunto thy servant:but I [am] slowof speech,and of a slowtongue.11And the LORDsaidunto him, Who hath mademan'smouth?or who makeththe dumb,or deaf,or the seeing,or the blind?have not I the LORD?12Now therefore go,and I will be with thy mouth,and teachthee what thou shalt say.13And he said,Omy Lord,send,I pray thee, by the hand[of him whom] thou wilt send. 14And the angerof the LORDwas kindledagainst Moses,and he said,[Is] not Aaronthe Levitethy brother?I knowthat he can speakwell.And also, behold, he cometh forthto meetthee: and when he seeththee, he will be gladin his heart.15And thou shalt speakunto him, and putwordsin his mouth:and I will be with thy mouth,and with his mouth,and will teachyou what ye shall do.16And he shall be thy spokesmanunto the people:and he shall be, [even] he shall be to thee instead of a mouth,and thou shalt be to him instead of God.17And thou shalt takethis rodin thine hand,wherewith thou shalt dosigns. Moses Leaves for Egypt 18And Moseswentand returnedto Jethrohis father in law,and saidunto him, Let me go,I pray thee, and returnunto my brethrenwhich [are] in Egypt,and seewhether they be yetalive.And Jethrosaidto Moses,Goin peace.19And the LORDsaidunto Mosesin Midian,Go,returninto Egypt:for all the menare deadwhich soughtthy life.20And Mosestookhis wifeand his sons,and setthem upon an ass,and he returnedto the landof Egypt:and Mosestookthe rodof Godin his hand. 21And the LORDsaidunto Moses,When thou goestto returninto Egypt,seethat thou doall those wondersbeforePharaoh,which I have putin thine hand:but I will hardenhis heart,that he shall not let the peoplego.22And thou shalt sayunto Pharaoh,Thus saiththe LORD,Israel[is] my son,[even] my firstborn:23And I sayunto thee, Let my songo,that he may serveme: and if thou refuseto let him go,behold, I will slaythy son,[even] thy firstborn. 24And it came to pass by the wayin the inn,that the LORDmethim, and soughtto killhim.25Then Zipporahtooka sharp stone,and cut offthe foreskinof her son,and cast[it] at his feet,and said,Surely a bloodyhusband[art] thou to me.26So he let him go:then she said,A bloodyhusband[thou art], because of the circumcision. The People Believe Moses and Aaron 27And the LORDsaidto Aaron,Gointo the wildernessto meetMoses.And he went,and methim in the mountof God,and kissedhim.28And MosestoldAaronall the wordsof the LORDwho had senthim, and all the signswhich he had commandedhim.29And Mosesand Aaronwentand gathered togetherall the eldersof the childrenof Israel:30And Aaronspakeall the wordswhich the LORDhad spokenunto Moses,and didthe signsin the sightof the people.31And the peoplebelieved:and when they heardthat the LORDhad visitedthe childrenof Israel,and that he had lookedupon their affliction,then they bowed their headsand worshipped. |
