The Altar of Burnt Offerings

(Leviticus 1:1-17;Leviticus 8:18-21)

1And he madethe altarof burnt offering[of] shittimwood:fivecubits[was] the lengththereof, and fivecubitsthe breadththereof; [it was] foursquare;and threecubitsthe heightthereof.2And he madethe hornsthereof on the fourcornersof it; the hornsthereof were of the same: and he overlaidit with brass.3And he madeall the vesselsof the altar,the pots,and the shovels,and the basons,[and] the fleshhooks,and the firepans:all the vesselsthereof madehe [of] brass.4And he madefor the altara brasengrateof networkunder the compassthereof beneathunto the midstof it.5And he castfourringsfor the fourendsof the grateof brass,[to be] placesfor the staves.6And he madethe staves[of] shittimwood,and overlaidthem with brass.7And he putthe stavesinto the ringson the sidesof the altar,to bearit withal; he madethe altar hollowwith boards.

8And he madethe laver[of] brass,and the footof it [of] brass,of the lookingglassesof [the women] assembling,which assembled[at] the doorof the tabernacleof the congregation.

The Tabernacle Courtyard

9And he madethe court:on the southsidesouthwardthe hangingsof the court[were of] fine twinedlinen,an hundredcubits:10Their pillars[were] twenty,and their brasensocketstwenty;the hooksof the pillarsand their fillets[were of] silver.11And for the northside[the hangings were] an hundredcubits,their pillars[were] twenty,and their socketsof brasstwenty;the hooksof the pillarsand their fillets[of] silver.12And for the westside[were] hangingsof fiftycubits,their pillarsten,and their socketsten;the hooksof the pillarsand their fillets[of] silver.13And for the eastsideeastwardfiftycubits.14The hangingsof the one side[of the gate were] fifteencubits;their pillarsthree,and their socketsthree.15And for the othersideof the courtgate,on this hand and that hand, [were] hangingsof fifteencubits;their pillarsthree,and their socketsthree.16All the hangingsof the courtround about[were] of fine twinedlinen.17And the socketsfor the pillars[were of] brass;the hooksof the pillarsand their fillets[of] silver;and the overlayingof their chapiters[of] silver;and all the pillarsof the court[were] filletedwith silver.18And the hangingfor the gateof the court[was] needlework,[of] blue,and purple,and scarlet,and fine twinedlinen:and twentycubits[was] the length,and the heightin the breadth[was] fivecubits,answerableto the hangingsof the court.19And their pillars[were] four,and their sockets[of] brassfour;their hooks[of] silver,and the overlayingof their chapitersand their fillets[of] silver.20And all the pinsof the tabernacle,and of the courtround about,[were of] brass.

The Cost of the Tabernacle

21Thisis the sumof the tabernacle,[even] of the tabernacleof testimony,as it was counted,according to the commandmentof Moses,[for] the serviceof the Levites,by the handof Ithamar,sonto Aaronthe priest.22And Bezaleelthe sonof Uri,the sonof Hur,of the tribeof Judah,madeall that the LORDcommandedMoses.23And with him [was] Aholiab,sonof Ahisamach,of the tribeof Dan,an engraver,and a cunning workman,and an embroidererin blue,and in purple,and in scarlet,and fine linen.

24All the goldthat was occupiedfor the workin all the workof the holy[place], even the goldof the offering,was twentyand ninetalents,and sevenhundredand thirtyshekels,after the shekelof the sanctuary.25And the silverof them that were numberedof the congregation[was] an hundredtalents,and a thousandsevenhundredand threescore and fifteenshekels,after the shekelof the sanctuary:26A bekahfor every man,[that is], halfa shekel,after the shekelof the sanctuary,for every one that wentto be numbered,from twentyyearsoldand upward,for sixhundredthousandand threethousandand fivehundredand fifty[men].27And of the hundredtalentsof silverwere castthe socketsof the sanctuary,and the socketsof the vail;an hundredsocketsof the hundredtalents,a talentfor a socket.28And of the thousandsevenhundredseventyand fiveshekels he madehooksfor the pillars,and overlaidtheir chapiters,and filletedthem.29And the brassof the offering[was] seventytalents,and two thousandand fourhundredshekels.30And therewith he madethe socketsto the doorof the tabernacleof the congregation,and the brasenaltar,and the brasengratefor it, and all the vesselsof the altar,31And the socketsof the courtround about,and the socketsof the courtgate,and all the pinsof the tabernacle,and all the pinsof the courtround about.
